Ever tried renovating your kitchen whilst hosting a dinner party? 🤔
That's essentially what we do in live hospitality environments. And honestly... we love the challenge.
Construction in hotels and hostels isn't just about meeting a program. It's about being completely invisible while creating something exceptional. You're choreographing around people living their lives. Staff need safe pathways. Guests shouldn't step over tools on their way to breakfast. Those backpackers with oversized bags still need to navigate the lobby.
The balance is everything. Pace matters, but never at the cost of experience.
At YHA Brisbane we orchestrated a floor-by-floor transformation across two buildings, renovating 14 private rooms and 63 co-living rooms, along with upgrades to common area bathrooms and the reception area while guests checked in and out as usual.
Quincy Hotel in Melbourne put our stealth skills to the test as we upgraded the buildings mechanical infrastructure across 29 live floors, all the way to plant deck - challenge accepted and conquered.
And Vibe Darling Harbour proved we could create something spectacular while protecting the lively hotel ambiance, involving the full refurbishment of guest floor corridors, doors, and lift lobbies, as well as a comprehensive upgrade to the rooftop bar and kitchen. We even engineered a rooftop mounted crane solution, sending structural steel and louvre components sky-high while Sussex Street barely noticed we were there - just one lane closed and zero city chaos.
What makes it work? Meticulous planning, high-calibre teams, and a "do it once, do it right" mentality. Plus a healthy respect for the fact that someone's holiday or business trip shouldn't be derailed by our drop sheets.
That's the real benchmark - when your work speaks louder than your presence. 💫
Did we mention the projects span different States? That’s right, 3 locations, one consistent approach! Our featured projects include Vibe Hotels (NSW), YHA Australia (QLD) and Quincy Hotel (VIC) - Same values, delivered across the country.
