This is the culture we've built at Urban Core: Men showing up for Women! 🙌🏻

Each year, our male colleagues quietly take it upon themselves to plan our International Women’s Day celebration. Yep - men planning an event to celebrate the women they work with, unprompted!!

This year: a customised IWD Kahoot and a ‘Know Your Colleagues’ presentation that had everyone talking. Turns out, one of us grew up with 40+ pets, one spent the night sleeping in the streets of Budapest (a long story apparently), and an adult, a fully-grown professional adult, once jammed a kids' potty on their head and had to have it sawn off. We work with extraordinary people. 😂

The guys even baked the scones themselves (50 of them!!) and we had a champagne high tea waiting in the office kitchen - complete with a 'Core Jam' and 'Tea-Box Talk' stations.

We talk a lot about building a culture where women feel genuinely supported (not just on paper). Days like these are proof that we’ve done it. This month we also welcomed three new women into the Urban Core family across our states. And through NexGen, we've now reached over 20,000 students and job seekers who are seeing construction differently.

Happy International Women's Day to every woman in construction and beyond. And to the people who show up for them. 🌟
