A brand new two-storey building with a basement carpark, combined with a full refurbishment of an existing 1870s heritage home originally designed by Edmund Blacket. This site has a story. And we love a glow up!
The new building is designed entirely for the children who'll learn, play and grow here every day. Playrooms, cot room, and everything in between.
And the existing heritage home? Falling apart on the inside, but the bones were worth fighting for. We're returning it to something worthy of its history as a dedicated staff space including a servery, offices, and meeting rooms.
The build is well underway with waterproofing complete, reo in place, and ready to pour. 💪
We've even sunk a rainwater tank into the ground. Once the build is complete, downpipes will feed directly into it and that water will be used for irrigation across the landscaping. This is what we mean when we say 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲.♻️
The Balmain community knows this project and is excited to see it come to life! And we don't take that excitement lightly.
Grateful to be doing this alongside Pam Meale from Balmain Care for Kids, Brian Rogut and his team Linked Project Management and Jackson Teece. Our team is in action, and we can't wait to watch this one unfold - Marcus Smith, Paul LightfootRavya Maggo and Lauren Fox.
