Following the successful Fabbrica fitout for Love Tilly Group, we were commissioned to deliver a bar and restaurant at heritage-listed 201 Clarence Street. The biggest challenge was obtaining Construction Certificate (CC) approval for wall-mounted feature lighting. The certifier initially prohibited wall chasing to preserve heritage walls, while the architect and client were reluctant to accept surface-mounted conduit as it would compromise the restaurant's aesthetic. We resolved this by engaging a second heritage architect who identified 40mm-thick render on brick walls, allowing chasing within the render layer without affecting the underlying heritage brickwork. This project exemplifies our Antifragile value and commitment to finding solutions where others see roadblocks.
